I had a chance to try out the HD video capability of my new camera a couple weeks ago. My sister needed a recording for an audition to a summer voice intensive master class. She was accepted and now has an opportunity to win a scholarship to help pay the tuition. ( You can help her out by clicking this link and *liking* her photo. Every vote counts!) The theme of the contest was to show your art in an unconventional way - I think we have this covered.
Enter the Renaissance Chickens!!!
OK, I know, I know - these chickens aren't really "Renaissance Chickens". They are just my same ol' farm chickens (though, the big white rooster in the front has an uber fancy name - Johann) Lizzy is wearing a Renaissance dress that I made her a few years ago. I love sewing, but I am going to try and never work with 20 yards of velvet again! My sewing machine is still trying to get over it. :)
Elizabeth started serenading the chickens (which they seemed to love) and had the great idea of adding in the gorgeous music stand that our grandmother bought her for her birthday last November. It's like it was made for this shoot! The only other thing we needed was the barn as a backdrop, and some chickens around to make this shoot really fun and definitely unique! I'm just glad her bright pink crocs didn't show through the dress :)
Happy Tuesday!
