Finally - the "New Goodie" part of the series!

What's better than an amazing new Kelly Moore camera bag?  Buying an amazing new CAMERA to go in it!!  That's right - this week I upgraded my camera to a Canon 5D Mark 3!!  I'm still speechless about this camera.... it's just flat AHHHMAZING!!!  It's a lot like my old camera, yet so much is different.  My favorite part (that I'm still trying to get used to) is the awesome 61 focal points to choose from!  I normally don't change my focal point - it's been way easier to just focus and re-adjust....but when there are 61 to choose from, I found it hard to resist.



 

I can't wait to share a detailed post on the 5D Mark 3, but I'll wait until I get over the shock.  All I can say after looking at each shot is "eeeeeeeeeep!" - and I don't think anyone wants to read a post of nothing but "eeeeeeep's".  :)

I am just soooooo excited about the last item that I won from the giveaway!  If you haven't guessed already, the giveaway was from Kelly Moore!  I have been wanting one of her camera bags for oh. so. long.  I think that I can probably describe every single one of her bags - I'm *that* obsessed with them.  The main reason that I hadn't purchased one was pretty simple - I couldn't choose just one!  They all have so many different features, sizes, colors and looks.  About 2 months ago I narrowed it down to my absolute favorite 2 - so it made my decision a lot easier when I HAD to pick one!

 

Meet the 2 Sues in Raspberry!

I love how it fits my camera with a lens attached, it's tall enough to fit my 70-200mm, and it also had an extra section for an iPad!  It doesn't matter how much gear I have in it at once - I've never had a more comfortable bag/purse/camera bag EVER.

 



 

Keep an eye out for a detailed post about everything that the 2 Sues bag can do!  Also, get ready for my FAVORITE goodie of all!  No, I didn't win this amazing item in the giveaway....it's.....well, you will just have to wait until tomorrow to find out what it is!

I was really bummed when I missed creativeLIVE's workshop on Lightroom 4 a couple months ago.  Lightroom is so amazing, and there are so many different parts to it!  I really want to be able to learn about and use everything that is has to offer!

One of the giveaway items that I won was a whole course on Lightroom 4 from S L R Lounge!  It goes through every single detail about Lightroom 4 and how it works.  I'm only part way through the video workshop, but I've already learned so much.  My favorite part are the photos that they give you to "edit and work along side" the instructor.  Pretty neat-o!

The next giveaway item that I received was the Lensbaby Spark from Adorama.  I've always *wanted* a lensbaby, but there was always some other piece of gear that I *needed* more.  It's a super fun lens - but not something to use on every single shoot :D  So I just kept putting it off.....

When it came in the mail I received comments like "how does it work?", "I can't get it to focus.........OHHH!  There it goes!  It's like an accordion!"!

When I first tried it out all of my photos turned out like this..... ONE BIG BLUR.

But after I started to get the hang of it, I had soooo much fun!  It adds such a neat feel to the photos.....

Yes, I tested it out on the dogs :)

I can't wait to keep practicing with it!  It really is a lot of fun to use. Thanks so much Adorama!

The first vendor to contact me after the giveaway was Pressed Cotton.  I had never heard of the company before, but found out very quickly that their customer service is Ahhhhmazing!  They emailed me about 1 hour after the giveaway ended, and then I received a shipping notice within 2 hours after I responded with my address.

I absolutely love these To Have & To Hold pillows!  Maybe it's the font, or the material, or the adorable packaging that Pressed Cotton uses.  :)

I really love hand-written notes - I still try to keep up with my pen-pal!  Even the smallest note can really make my day perfect.

Giveaway and New Goodies ~ Part 1

All I can remember is sleepily checking my emails on my iPhone and thinking "Hmmm .... how did this SPAM email come through?"  I have never won a giveaway that was worth more than $3 (no joke), so when I read the words "Congratulations!  You are the giveaway winner" it HAD to be spam - right?  It was 7:00 in the morning and I had already been up for over an hour and a half after getting only 4 hours of sleep.  Either this email was spam or I was just dreaming (an uber AMAZING dream).

After a few more "blinks" (and checking the email address to make sure that it was legit) I realized that I had actually won the most amazing giveaway ever!  I'm still playing with my new goodies and can't wait to share them throughout the week.

Last week I added a brand new baby to my collection myself - and it comes in the mail T.O.D.A.Y.!  I can't remember the last time I had THIS many new goodies all at once.  I'll post about new baby this week....if I can stop playing with it long enough :)

And because photos make every post better....

My sister needed an updated head shot for an audition, so I took her behind a building to grab some shots while we were in the city.
